It is estimated that in the coming years, more than 500 thousand drones will fly in the European Union’s airspace. Such enormous air traffic is a particular challenge for the security of airports and surrounding areas. More and more frequent incidents involving the uncontrolled presence of drones in the vicinity of planes are proof of this. In accordance with the regulations, drones cannot fly within one or several kilometers of the airports, however poor imagination or disregarding the law by drone users is common.
